Nepal Faces Defeat Against New Zealand in U-19 World Cup Match

Kathmandu: In the ICC U-19 World Cup match held in East London, South Africa, Nepal suffered a defeat against New Zealand by 64 runs. Chasing a target of 303 runs set by New Zealand, Nepal managed to reach 238/9 in their allotted 50 overs.

Arjun Kumar played a notable innings, scoring the highest with 90 runs, including 12 boundaries in 104 balls. Captain Dev Khanal contributed 36, while Subhash Bhandari and Tilak Bhandari scored 13 and 17 runs, respectively. Mason Clarke from New Zealand took three wickets, and Ewald Schreuder and Oscar Jackson took two wickets each, with Matt Rowe and Jack Coming securing one wicket each.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat, posting a total of 303 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. Snehith Reddy played a significant role, scoring 147 runs with 11 fours and six sixes in 124 balls. Captain Oscar Jackson added 75 runs to the total.

Nepal will face Pakistan in their next match on Wednesday.


 



New
